Curated Shortlisting and Introduction
At FEA, we practice employer-led matching. We do not choose your domestic helper for you.
We believe employers know their homes best and are in the strongest position to decide:
- Who will work well in your current home dynamic, for example: households with multiple helpers, frequently travelling families, or homes preparing for a newborn.
- Which helper will be the best fit for your management and communication style
Our goal is to support you in making a well-informed hiring decision for your home.
We understand how important it is to build a stable, long-term working relationship with your domestic helper. Fair Agency’s structured vetting and guided matching process is designed to help employers assess candidates more clearly and confidently.
Curating and Vetting:
Our approach differs from many agencies and online platforms. Rather than simply sending large volumes of profiles or directing you to an online search platform, we conduct structured screening to better understand each candidate’s experience, preferences, and communication style.
As part of this process, candidates complete a detailed application and are interviewed by our team. Typically, only about 20 percent of applicants proceed to interview after our initial screening. Applicants who do not meet our baseline criteria for experience, communication, or job readiness do not proceed further in our process.
This helps ensure that the candidates presented to employers have relevant background information for proper evaluation. Final suitability, however, always depends on the employer’s specific household needs, preferences, and working dynamics.
| Fair Agency | Traditional Agency | Online platforms | |
| Vetting | Structured initial interviews and pre- screening. Only about 15–20% of applicants typically proceed after initial review. | Minimal | Little to no screening |
| Selection Approach | Guided employer-led selection with dedicated support from your Relationship Manager. | Limited or consultant-driven matching typically based on basic criteria. | Self-service search with minimal or no guided matching. |
Support:
Our matching support goes beyond basic skill filtering. In addition to experience, we consider factors such as work attitude, communication style, and job preferences.
We also conduct a 15 to 20 minute consultation with employers to understand your household environment, management style, routines, and priorities. Based on what we observe, we highlight candidates whose profiles employers may wish to consider. We only introduce candidates who have expressed interest in your role to help ensure a more efficient and focused selection process.
Because every household is different and working relationships evolve over time, final hiring decisions and ongoing management remain with the employer. Our role is to guide and support you through a structured and informed selection process.
